Okutala Etosha Lodge Activities
Etosha National Park Full Day trips
- All Etosha trips are done on either 10-seater or 24-seater open Game viewing vehicles.
- Poncho/blanket kits are provided to all guests.
- Water and soft drinks (in a cooler box) supplied. No alcohol may be consumed on the viewer vehicles.
- Guides will sign in at the gate and enquire about latest sightings.
- Guides will start following park routes immediately after entering the gate and follow/track as much as possible animals.
- Note – Etosha is a very dusty environment, and hot in summer – guests are welcome to buy protective gear from our curio shop before departing.

Etosha National Park Half Day trips
- Due to the distances and time constraints, it is not recommended to do half day trips to Etosha.
- We can however offer this service on special request.

Guides will take guests to a special sundowner spot and spoil them with some snacks and drinks.

- Guests are taken into the bush to enjoy a open air, rustic picnic or finger lunch
- The excursion will take approximately two hours.
- The timing will be determined on arrival on an individual basis.

Main waterhole attractions
Whilst relaxing on the main deck, guests are welcome to take a short walk to the following attractions at no extra cost:
- Okutala Memory Lane – a glimpse of “Okutala back in the day”
- Sunken hide, where guests can descend into a pit close to the waterhole in order to stand on eye level with the water. This is a Photographer’s dream.
- Open air, safety rail where guests can be as close as 1 metre from animal, mainly rhinos.
- Open air, elevated viewpoint close to the waterhole. Guests can get close up view of animals.
